Canggu is a beautiful place set amongst the rice fields. There are many dining choices in and around Canggu and all very inexpensive. Don’t miss out on the BBQ at Echo Beach, an interesting happening and atmospheric place! They set up outside practically on top of the water for the evening BBQ under lights and live music on Sundays. The Beach House being popular with seafood barbecues every night, also Monkey Frescro or pop into Dian Cafe. They have tables right on the beach and enjoy one of the best burgers in Bali. Om is fantastic and try Deus ex Machina which is one of those lifestyle kind of places, beautiful building with a gallery, photographic studio, shop and café. Enjoy fabulous meals in their restaurant and remember the casual live music on Sunday evenings. The food is just great and you must try the delicious mint and lime frozen cocktail. Across from Deus is a fabulous spot for eating breakfast, brunch and just hanging out, Betelnut Café, healthy and cheap. Just try it!

Canggu beach and Echo beach offer something for all levels of surfer. There is a range of soft, mellow waves perfect for beginners to rippable peaks perfect for high performance surfing and the travelling professional. Combined with the many cafes around the main break at Echo Beach this makes the perfect day for any surfer.

Since Canggu faces further South than Kuta Beach, it will often be a bit bigger. However, it is also more affected by the trade winds and it will often be cross-shore.
